Summer Break is Over

September 6, 2011

I am a little sad that our summer break is coming to an end. It certainly would be easier to go back to work, if it was raining!

I love the sun and the warmth, but I am looking forward to the cool mornings of fall too!

Here are a couple pictures from my vacation this year, and of course a couple of cute card samples from the the Holiday Mini Catalog that just came out September 1st. If you don't have a copy let me know and I will put one in the mail to you.

Is it this beautiful? We went to Hawaii this year with Scott's parents and his sister and her family.

This are the birds that came every afternoon for crackers. We made the mistake of eating some ritz crackers on

the balcony one afternoon, and we forgot them out there. When we came back to the room, the birds were eating them.

They came back everyday when we were on the balcony for some more!

Are you thinking of fall yet? These great ideas are from a swap using stamp sets from the mini catalog. These cards are made with the stamp set Gently Falling,  on page 16. It comes with some outline stamps, and some solid stamps for a very cute two step image. This is a set of 12 stamps and it comes in clear or wood mount.  Most of these cards are using the spice cake designer series paper that is in the mini catalog too!

Have a great day!

Fall is here?

November 4, 2010

I know yesterday I said fall is here, but really? It was 74 degrees and 80 is some places!! I am going to miss this weather in a couple of days……I looked at the 10 day forecast and on November 12th it is calling for showers and a chance a snow! So I hope you can get out and enjoy the sunshine today!

I am sharing with you some ideas from out last meeting. They are cute gift ideas that are pretty easy to make. The first one is an advent calendar made with our treat cups. A very cute idea!! The next picture is a box of tags using the tag set from the Holiday Mini Catalog in a cute box. Who wouldn't love to get that! The last picture is of  some candle holders made from pop cans and the big shot!!
The are very cute and of course pretty inexpensive!

I hope this inspires you to start thinking about making some Christmas gifts!

Mother’s Day

May 6, 2010

Mother's Day is three days away, so I have been working on my Mother's Day cards. I am also changing my cards over for May, so this will be a card you will make if you come to a class this month. The first two cards are using a set from the mini catalog called Elements of Style.  The first card is my favorite it is embossed in Chocolate Chip Kraft ink, which will be retiring at the end of June so you better order yours soon. All Kraft ink pads will be gone except for white, vanilla and black. Ok, back to the card, I colored it in with watercolor crayons, my favorite way to color!!

The second card I added a little bit of yellow, the colors are not as vibrant partly because I used a little bit lighter colors and I used markers to color in. I didn't emboss this card, I just stamped in the chocolate chip. (I like the first one better.)

The last card is a swap from Alessandra Reyes. This is using a new set in the mini catalog too! She did a resist technique on the glossy cardstock.

Have a great day! And a great Mother's Day!!
