Very Thankful

July 29, 2009

I am very thankful for many things today. I am very thankful that my Mom is feeling better. She was in a car accident last week, which is why I haven’t posted much lately. Today is the first day she is feeling better, so I am very thankful.

Very Thankful is also the name of Ronald McDonald Stamp this year. It is pictured in the New Catalog on the back cover. You already saw the turtle in this cute set, this card is made with the peacock. I used Bermuda Bay Cardstock, I sprayed it with water and ran in through the big shot with the swirl texture plate. Then I brayered over the cardstock with the bermuda bay ink, this really helps define the background. I stamped the swirl from the Simple Friendship set in the Gable Green ink on the same color cardstock. For the Peacock, I stamped it in Versamark then in the Bermuda Bay ink and then on the cardstock. Next I embossed the peacock in the Iridescent Ice embossng powder. Can you see the sparkle?  This stamp set is a must have, and don’t forget $2.00 from every set sold goes to the Ronald McDonald Foundation.

Enjoy, and take time to think of all the things you are thankful for!

Ronald McDonald Visit

July 22, 2009

Here are a couple of the cards we did last week at the Ronald McDonald House. We made several cards, a bookmark and magnet butterflies. For the butterflies we glued dsp to a magnet sheet and ran it through the bigshot. The Ronald McDonald Stamp set is on the inside back cover of the catalog. It is Very Thankful #115338- $14.95. When you purchase this set, Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The butterfly die is on page 198 # 114507. and the dsp we used is cottage wall.

Cards for July

July 21, 2009

If you are attending one of my stamp camps in July here is a peek at some of the cards we will be making.

This first one is of course one of Scott’s favorites. This is using the Autumn Days # 115452 pg 92. It is alsousing three of the new incolors, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry.

The next card isusing the Medalion Stamp, it is a big background stamp It is shown on page # 115223 133  This is a stamp in the Shelli signature line.

Next up with have a card with the cupcakes from a hostess stamp set The More the Merrier.

And the last card today is using three different stamp sets, for the background I used Paradise, it is a great leafstamp set on page 97. The flower is from the stamp set Embrace Life, and it is also using Oval All. I think this is a greattropical summer card!
